A few weeks ago, ATL Trafficking.com published a map of Metro Atlanta detailing dozens and dozens of confirmed sex trafficking dens passing themselves off as massage parlors. At that time, we congratulated the City of Johns Creek for having succeeded in shutting down all such “spas” within its jurisdiction.
We also noted that Forsyth County had inherited a significant problem because many of the closed Johns Creek spas had simply moved north to their jurisdiction.
However, Forsyth County has been very busy! In November of 2015, Forsyth adopted the famous “Johns Creek” ordinances as their own, and these ordinances went into effect this year. This January, the Forsyth Sheriff’s Department began proactively visiting massage parlors and reviewing the ordinances with each owner/manager to make sure every requirement was understood. (These ordinances are designed to protect legitimate spas and prevent sex trafficking.)
We are very happy to report that on Friday, March 11th, the Forsyth Sheriff’s Department rightly shut down 5 of these illegal brothels! The ones permanently shuttered were: the Sun Spa, Jasmine Sauna, BMB Sauna, Fine Touch Massage, & TOP/VIP Sauna.
The maps above are a visual comparison of the change in illegal activity before and after Forsyth conducted their operation. The blue shaded area shows the territory that Forsyth took back from these Asian gangs that traffick women all over our country!
Forsyth now joins Johns Creek in the history books as being the second community in the State of Georgia to successfully take on the massage parlors and win. They have taken back the entire western half of their county, doubling the territory freed by these ordinances.
Still, Forsyth needs to keep going – there are 4 more massage parlors that are clear & proven brothels: Pine Health Club & Spa, Massage Angel, Massage Pro, & Harmony Massage. Online forums also implicate 4 additional spas as highly probable brothels, and 3 more that are possible, for a total of 11.

In the same operation on Friday, Forsyth deputies cited 10 of those 11 remaining suspects for current violations of the ordinances. As a result, 3 of them have temporarily shut down for “remodeling.” In media reports, Forsyth deputies did indicate they are not letting up, but are now entering a new phase of the operation.
The Forsyth Sheriff’s Department should be commended for their professionalism and dedication in making this happen. We stand with them and are looking forward to the day when we can report that Forsyth County is fully free.
All citizens of Forsyth should call their Sheriff’s Dept. today and thank them for what they’ve done. Those deputies are working to stop slavery in our time.
We call on all citizens of other counties like Fulton, Dekalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, Cherokee, Hall, & Barrow to call their commissioners and ask them to also adopt the Johns Creek ordinances.
If you live within the city limits of Gainesville, Lawrenceville, Duluth, Norcross, Tucker, Chamblee, Doraville, Sandy Spring, Roswell, Marietta, Smyrna, or Atlanta, call the members or your city council and ask them to do the same.
We are taking territory, but it’s going to take the cooperation of everyone to take it all.
